Cardamon and chocolate

Cardamon is an elegant spice traditionally from India and the Middle East, and you probably have seen it in famous curries, in the popular chai masala, and in desserts! But it can also be used together with chocolate, and it goes absolutely amazingly well! This combination is less popular because chocolate is actually not very spread in the countries where cardamon is originally from. So, be the first one to try it, and you will surprise everyone with the goodness of it!

Cardamon chocolate bites

Get dark chocolate for baking recipes, or 70% cacao chocolate if you are from the ones that like that rich, concentrated cacao taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablet baking chocolate or chocolate 70% cacao

  • 5-6 tsp cardamon powder

Instructions

  1. Get dark chocolate for baking recipes or 70% cacao. Melt the chocolate and prepare a baking sheet on a flat surface. To melt the chocolate, you just need to be careful not to burn it. You can place it in the microwave and stir it every 20 seconds, so it doesn't get burnt, or in a heatproof bowl inside a pan with boiling water, stirring, until it softens.

  2. Add the cardamom powder and mix well. Taste it, and if you like cardamon, be generous and add a little more.

  3. With one spoon, pour the melted mix on the baking paper, making the shape of coins while it's hot and before it starts cool down.

  4. Then, let the choco bites cool down until totally dried. It takes from 10 to 20 minutes, depending on how to think they are and the temperature of the room.

  5. Take them out one by one and serve or place them in a box to store

  6. Enjoy!
